Exhausted but happy, I am back home after 2 weeks abroad.
Some of you may be jalous (everyone knows how life can be unfair), but I have been lucky enough to go to the Tom Bishop's show in Chicago ;-)
I have met wonderful people such as Jim, Alan and Scott.
I had fun times with the few Frenchies that were there.
And now, let the show begin with pictures :
from Cinderella
from Jane Graber and the other kind lady who makes lovely baskets (I am sorry I don't remember her's name)
from Jim Pounder (so gifted, so humble)
from Lighting Bug
from ... I am so sorry ... I don't remember the name of this talented potter and I have thrown away the invoice ... If someone can help me to give him back his name, I would be thankful !
from Ray Storey (I love the way he calls all the women "Darling")
from RJT Miniatures (I wish I could have money enough to buy his tools ...)
from Scott's lighting (a wonderful person, I mean it !)
from Tiny Ceramics (lovely people)
from TYA Kitchen (just amazing kitchen's stuff !)
and finally from Ulus Miniatures

Beautiful! Thank you for sharing with us!
RépondreSupprimerWonderful purchases Marie! I really love the tools in the first photo. Did you buy them from Cinderella? I see a great shop selling material miniature dressmaking, but no tools.
RépondreSupprimerI met some of the people you are talking about as well. Ray is a great guy, so very funny too!
Marie... You selected some wonderful pieces!!! I do love the tools!!! The light fixtures are fantastic!!!! Don't you just love Scott's table & work. It's magic. The tiles are charming. She (Tiny Ceramics) is someone I really wanted to see at the show. I love the tiles you chose and I can't wait to see how you use them. TKY... What a great table they have I remember it from last year it was great.
RépondreSupprimerAll your mini's are special. I am so sorry I missed the chance to meet you. :-( I do hope you will think about going back next year. Now that you have been bitten by the Chicago show bug, maybe I won't have to work too hard to convince you to go again.
To Josje : I bought the tools from Cinderella indeed. She mainly sells fabric, ribbons and so but she also have a nice choice of tools and so. I think her web site is brand new and far from being complete regarding her stock.
RépondreSupprimerThanks for sharing with us so many treasures and links. I can imagine Tom Bishop Show is an abyss of paradise! :o)
RépondreSupprimerWonderful purchases!!!
What a wonderful collection of miniatures you bought....I must seriously think about going to this fair one year.....probably just a dream, but you have to dream don't you if it is ever to come true...?
RépondreSupprimerEt oui! Moi aussi, Les petits outils, le carrelage, les poteries me font rêver... et le petit compas! Extra!
